AUTOCLEAR/ Scintrex Trace Unveils New Security Device at IASTS
November 28, 2006
Scintrex Trace Corporation exhibited at the 4th International Aviation
Security Technology Symposium, held in Washington, D.C. This event,
which took place from November 27th to December 1st, 2006, showcased
the top technologically advanced products for security screening in
aviation.
Scintrex Trace Corp., the wholly owned subsidiary of AUTOCLEAR/ Control
Screening, LLC, produces an extensive line of explosive and narcotic
detectors. Trusted for years in the security screening industry, these
portable handheld or desktop units are essential in the detection of
explosive and narcotic substances.
New to the Scintrex Trace line is the EVD 3100, a portable vapor explosives
detector. The 3100 is superior to others in its class when it comes
to “sniffing” out TATP, EGDN, DMNB, and ICAO Taggants. With
the analysis time of less than a minute, the EVD 3100 has the ability
to provide a multitude of samples in a very short time frame.
During this Aviation Security Symposium, the Scintrex Trace EVD 3100
was available for examination along with the E-3500, a portable explosives
detector, and the E-5000, a desktop unit that detects both explosives
and narcotics. Other products being presented at this event were the
MZ8 Walkthrough Metal Detector and the CBT (Computer-Based Trainer),
which produces simulated TIP X-ray images for screening purposes. Also
displayed was the AUTOCLEAR Bottle Scanner, which scans bottles and
has the ability to identify hazardous liquids harbored inside.
